This is an development pack for
Employee of the month?
The Sims™ 4 Arrive at Work! has three new occupations for you to follow: doctor, detective plus scientist. Unlike the professions we know from The Sims 4, here you might actually follow your Sims to their jobs, and help them do the best they can.
If you decide to be a doctor, you’ll join your Sim at their clinic, exactly where they see and diagnose sufferers and of course administer treatments or surgery. On top of this, to break up the daily schedule you can visit sick Sims around town in their homes.
Being a detective, you’ll get to see the Police Place, although most of your time will be spent patrolling the streets and looking crime scenes for clues and witnesses. Back at HQ, your detective Sims will discuss situations, interrogate suspects and more.
Choose to be a scientist, and you’ll go to a huge laboratory where Sims analyze flora, fauna and metals to generate all sorts of gadgets, and you could even discover life on other planets. Not just that, but aliens could invade your own town, and hide among the common population. Your scientist Sim may help uncover the aliens in your midst.
If a profession does not tickle your fancy, you can make your Sims into entrepreneurs, starting their own businesses. You can buy a plot of land, and employ it to build a store, where you can sell things your Sims make or whatever you get from Build Mode.
Triumph at work comes at a price
The Sims™ 4 Reach Work! brings you new public spaces: workplaces. Unlike normal communal areas, workplaces don¡t appear on the particular map and you can only visit all of them when your Sim is at work. Create a business, however , and you can visit any time you please. Entrepreneurship is so tough that it can be advisable to install a bathroom and even the bed!
Workdays within the Sims™ 4 Get to Work! work similarly to dates and appointments within the original game. Everything’s based on the clock, with a list of objectives to complete inside that time. Do well and you’ll get offers and unlock new features. The gameplay at work feels pretty led at first, but after a few hrs you’ll have learned what you need to do. Function emergencies sometimes occur, which break up the rhythm of the workday.
Whatever profession you choose, The Sims™ 4 Get to Work! captures work life very well, with its invisible complications, and the feeling that there normally are not enough hours in the day to complete everything. Experience makes work easier and you’ll soon master the professions.
Starting a business is different. Open a store and you’ll be tasked with managing. Like a simplified version of the Tycoon series, you’ll buy or produce goods, make sure the shop is always ready for customers and that your own employees are happy. Like a true business, you need to put lots of work in before you can enjoy any success. It can be frustrating.
While the the professions allow you to earn living with more or less bearable tasks, opening a company can easily lead to total ruin. Of course , you could become rich too, yet getting their is slow and expensive. You could easily find yourself quitting, selling up and getting a job somewhere else!
After the lightweight Outdoor Retreat expansion pack, The Sims™ 4 Get to Work! is refreshingly deep, bringing lots of new happy to the game. It genuinely changes The Sims 4, and it’s great to have something to focus on away from home. As well as becoming an excellent expansion, it makes us really hopeful about the future of The Sims 4.
